Police Station Advice & Representation
At McKenzia Solicitors we understand that for many being arrested, taken to the police station and interview by the Police in relation to an offence which you are accused can be frightening and daunting. This stress can sometimes extend to the family or the arrested individual. We do not offer Legal Aid at our Firm.We only represent clients on Private Fee basis only, unfortunately we do not offer Legal Aid services. Although legal aid may be available to some of our clients, some of our clients prefer to instruct us Privately to secure or guarantee our Services at McKenzia Solicitors. This will ensure that our clients can select who they want to represent them at the Police Station as "most cases are won or lost during the Police interview stage".
If you are arrested?
When you arrested and taken into Police custody it is at this point that you should engage McKenzia Solicitors services so that we are present with you during your interview to provide you with advice and assistance. The interview with the Police, will more often be a formal interview which will be under Police Caution. We represent clients during the interview stage and our clients can also contact us at various stages as their case progresses. It is important to contact us at the outset so that we can make the necessary representations on your behalf and represent you during your interview. Depending on the offence which you are accused and being investigated including other determining factors, after your interview the Police may either release you with no further action. You could be released under investigation or detained in custody or charged with a specific offence.
Legal advice at the police station is free of charge to any person who has been arrested or is being interviewed by the police. If your case proceeds to court we can represent you at the Magistrates or Crown Court. Our Solicitor Advocate will take charge of your case from the outset and will provide you with advice and representation. We Represent clients nationwide from our London Office, we are experts in representing clients at the Police Station we will guide you through the process. For many the experience of being arrested may be daunting, therefore we support our clients prudently whilst ensuring that they understand the process and provide them with advice.
